Not a close personal friend, someone I have got to know through business. However, its the same old finale; I stand up to them ( and this one really was in the wrong ) tell them that their behaviour is unreasonable, they profer apology on one hand then abuse you in the next. I let this one stomp off yet did not get drawn in.

The whole business upsets me, but I know its for the best and no amount of trying to reason with them will ever work.

After dust settles I will feel better about it

I have to admit some people/relationships are just toxic and that we are better off to realise this, put that in a box and bury it under the patio.

I am talking figuratively here, just in case, you know...............

Well done, SirSugar. It does hurt. So does having a bad tooth extracted ...

Hope you feel better soon.

Console yourself with the fact that you have developed an awareness and you acted on your knowledge of the situation.

For years I didn't realise why I felt so bad interacting with some people. Now I don't give them the time of day.

Clear your life to make space for better influences...well done.
