I am veritably flirting! With a nice man! I haven't flirted in 13 years!

Excuse the giddiness, but as a veteran of the miscarriage threads, shortly followed by the abusive relationships thread and the Stately Homes thread, a little bit of nice and lovely and normal flirting with a nice man is a pinnacle of inter-relational achievement for me right now.

It's nice and lovely and normal! He's actually available, has similar tastes/background/SOH/career aspirations/values as me, and I don't care if it doesn't lead anywhere: by god there are nice and normal men out there! And they think I'm worth a look in!

That's pretty damn good in my book.

Oh he is totally interested: we are having an e-mail conversation right now, and he's ending every e-mail with a question so that I keep replying. His e-mails also all contain references to things I mentioned in conversation several days ago, so I know he's been listening.

Yes, come on Puppy we're all agog here. We want a date arranged before home time.

ItsMeAndMyPuppyNow · 11/11/2011 16:25

I'm not going to push for anything like a date yet - there is Rules, you know!

But I will mention that we bonded over the past 3 days, where we were both sent on business somewhere full of charm and sunshine, and far away from colleagues and bosses. That certainly helped set the tone!

Also, I have bounced out of my depression with renewed vigour, and totally kicked butt work-wise on that trip. I had 400 people eating out of my hand, never mind just 1 charming and available colleague...

Am enjoying the butterflies in my tummy immensely!
