Anyone in the slightest bit of a dab hand in property law?

H is 27 years older than me, and I've reached the end of my tether.

We live in a house in my name (bought it before we married) but also own, thanks to my dad, a half share in a house in the same town in which we live. My sister has the same in London, and we both share the rental income from it, separately. It's just always been that way.

My wonder was - do I just put my share of that house in dds name, and not tell them about it? I've no pension, am quite old, and the only asset I have is the house. I'm used to the idea of selling it when I get too old to move, but, in the meantime, any ideas?

Just spurred onto thinking about this tonight, because H tells me he @:::::'ng hates me. Well, I've hated him for a long while, but am thinking about our girls. And me.

Go and see an accountant and a lawyer. There could be capital gains implications for DD's and yourself as well as legal ones depending on the age of DD's.

A Huge amount depends on the length of your marriage.

Contact a Lawyer a.s.a.p.

If you plan to divorce your husband, do not think that you can transfer asssets out of the marriage and that is that; these transactions can be unwound by a judge and assets/monies awarded to your husband.

I think you need to seek legal advice on this, you can't just gift your assets to other people and then get divorced ensuring that your partner gets no share.

What assets does he own? does he have DC of his own?

Could you not just negotiate to leave his assets alone, and he leaves yours?
