Brazilian wax virgin - what's it like? -

Another thread on this topic prompted me to ask something always been curious about. I usually have a standard bikini wax with a strip but have to shave everywhere below that. I hate shaving/regrowth/stubble rash. So considering going for the whole lot off.

BUT ... if you have had babies, dont know about some of you oh well heck it's Mumsnet anything goes all them flaps are a little deflated these days, a little torn in places, a little missing in places (two big babies Hmm ), no perineum to speak of (where did it go? inside somewhere I think), plus I had a second degree tear no stitches and what I suspect is a small prolapse but too scared to ask Doc about that.

ANYWAY when they wax between all these flaps are you supposed to hold them taut yourself or does the beautician do it? Not that I'm sure I could taut them, a little plasticine-y yee-haa! man they can stretch for miles TMI? Sorry! I digress. HOW though do they get all that hair from right inside the crevices??

This isn't the sort of thing you can discuss with yoru sisters or friends really, is it!

Thanks. I'm going ot have to google it.

DrunkenDaisy · 30/06/2011 15:22

Oh my God it sounds horrific.

Go to the doc OP, you don't want it to get to the stage where it falls out completely.

Boak.

Removal of body hair becomes a feminist issue ..... fer gawds sake.
Men also like legs, do we wax leg hair off too for them?

I don't like bushy eyebrows or stragglers growing out of a chin either, would I be plucking them to 'please a man' too?

Each to their own, but until you've experienced that fresh air feeling, easy to clean feel of a full wax, you'll never keep a jungle again :D

Yes, some prolapses can be serious, some can fall out, there are different types, some caused by childbirth. Mine doesn't impair sex, if anything it helps push the bulge back in a little. Pelvic floor muscles correct the problem in mild cases, my own fault for doing zero of those after the birth.

If you Google prolapse in Images, of course you are going to see worst case scenarios.

yes you do have to pull it taut yourself

:o

mines pretty, erm, tidy down there as i had my kids via planned caesarean, but i am sure the beautician will have seen 1000's of fanjo's so i am sure yours will be fine.

it doesn't hurt too much and its over in seconds.

i thoroughly recommend it. and i don't care what anyone says, it makes sex WAY better. everythings more sensitive.

Malgosia · 30/06/2011 15:46

it makes sex WAY better

For you.

There was a thread started by some poor woman the other day who's DP had talked her into having it done (otherwise he wouldn't go down on her, lovely man). It made her much less sensitive and she hates it.

superv1xen · 30/06/2011 15:53

oh god thats awful malgosia what a twat Shock

ok, sorry, disclaimer, might not make sex better for everyone ! but if i was sleeping with a jerk like that i'd probably have crap sex too, brazilian or no.

superv1xen · 30/06/2011 16:04

jeez what a cock :(

hope she has ditched him. Hmm

LuckyMrsT · 30/06/2011 16:46

Malgosia I'm aware that the current trend possibly has it's roots in porn but it is just a trend all the same. I just think it feels and looks much better. If you prefer a massive hairy muff that's fine too. I just don't see why it has to be such a serious issue. Because some poor downtrodden love on MN got pressured into it? She should grow some broader shoulders! (and her pubes back if she's that affected). Lighten up.

JamieAgain · 30/06/2011 17:27

It sounds very unpleasant

RubyPink · 30/06/2011 18:55

strawberryjelly yet again I agree with you wholeheartedly. I just don't fancy putting myself through the pain and embarrassment of having that particular part of me waxed so I like to stay 'au naturel' apart from a little trim now and then... no complaints so far!

strawberryjelly · 30/06/2011 19:25

I think I just like my "secondary sexual characteristics".

And men seem to like them tooGrin

so we are all happy.
