I've not had a spot for over a year (I know this because I started the acne-org regimen a year ago ) - why now?!

It hurts, there's no head to pop, my chin is red and there's no way I'll be able to disguise it by tomorrow evening.

I don't even have cleavage to distract him with.

When I was at school my cycling shorts split in the middle of PE and my bf advised making a show of it and laughing at myself so that other people joined in and thought I was a good sport.

To that end, I think you should whack some glitter on it and refer to it as Spotty McSpotterson, your wee angry red friend.

Use ice to reduce the swelling, you should be able to cover it with concealer or tiny tiny blobs of foundation blended with a clean finger and patted with powder. Or stick a plaster over it and pretend your imaginary kitten scratched you (like I did )

Wear a heffing great flower on your hair to distract his gaze. Or a bindi. Or those false eyelashes with diamante crap in them.

He'll not even notice your spot.

Big blob of soap on it overnight. It will be significantly smaller tomorrow

I hear that toothpaste on a spot overnight reduces the size and swelling. It was in some Celeb magazine, so it MUST be true!

Go see a beauty therapist. A friend of mine had the same problem and they shone some kind of light on it, massaged it and put some stuff on it and it was gone later that day. Got to be worth a try?

Toothpaste does work, dries them out and makes it go down. You do then have to be really careful to keep it clean till it goes and don't use whitening toothpaste but yes it works.

Witch Hazel is what you need!

I am shoveling benzoyl peroxide onto it in a bid to dry it out. The only toothpaste I have is the whitening stuff, and it's too late for light therapy, I think!

How did it go?

Ibuprofen reduces inflammation and will work on zits.

In my case, neat tea tree oil has got rid of spots that haven't reached fruition yet.

Wet an aspirin and rub it over it so it leaves some paste on the spot, go to bed, wake up spot(ish) free :)

DON'T put savlon on it, whatever you do.

Tried it once, and it turn them into a great big blue/red/purple lump - instead of a skin-coloured one.
