I swoon for Obama. He speaks with so much authority. I could listen to him all day. Yes I'm a fan of his.

Judging Obamas intelligence by his books is very naive.
Obama wrote both books with a ghost writer. That is totally normal for busy politicians. He was the senator of Illinois, he didn't have time to spend scribbling away in a dusty garrat.
I am a Londoner born and bred, from a proud line of Irish rebels and bog dwellers. Nothing to do with America. I am just speaking as I observe, and I'm not thinking with my pants.
( anyway, I'm not disputing his intelligence, intelligence is a diverse thing and lots of peeps are intelligent in different ways. You can't be POTUS if you are stoopid, and that goes for Bush too, that myth has been over worked. Plenty of "intelligent" people have been ruinous for their countries. Apparently Hitler was a wonderful rrhetorician and the fraulein found him very sexy. Can't see it myself .)

Oh, I forgot to add:
Obama is the worst president America could possibly have elected at this pivotal point in their history. He has driven them and their descendants into penury and bankrupty and given aid and comfort and encouragement to their most mortal enemies.
