hon my DH tries it - and (this is gonna make me sound like a right cowanne) but he'll clean upstairs in the house/I do down stairs, then he goes off for a hour as a 'reward' and plays on either the PC or PS2 and will then come back down, but i'm quite firm on the whole console in the front room thing - like u I have no intrest in it. on the absolute rare occassion (severly rare) he's playing downstairs/watching somehting I don't want to I read a book, then when the programmes finished say well u've had urs I want x on for me. seems to work for us.

Helen..sounds thoroughly selfish.
Give him a boot up the arse and tell him it's with love from me..all the way from Turkey.

(What the hell is an X box anyway? Some computer game thingy??)

screwyslittlegoblins · 26/10/2005 14:27

No your nor being unreasonable its the other way around he's the one out of order.
Compromise maybe and say once all the definate work is done in the house then you won't bat an eyelid if he gets one

screwyslittlegoblins · 26/10/2005 14:28

What is it with men and game consoles with mine its the playstation he won't even let the kids near it. Wouldn't be surprised if its boobytrapped.

HelenEmjay · 26/10/2005 15:28

LOL moondog will gladly boot dp up the bum for you! - will give him a kick for everyone here! XBOX is just like playstation or gamecube.
SLG - i wish i knew, my dp also goes nuts if the kids go near his toys! - theyre like oversized kids!!!

well helen, even my DP agrees that your DP is out of line! he says it's silly to have all those old games and consoles sat there, they are money wasted.

HelenEmjay · 26/10/2005 15:36

why doesnt he sell the consoles that he doesnt use and put the money towards the new xbox?

why do men NEVER grow up?

expatinscotland · 26/10/2005 15:39

How would he feel if you took £300 and bought a handbag or a dress with it? Or had a spa day?

I'd throw that out, just to see his reaction.

HelenEmjay · 26/10/2005 15:57

Oooh what a great idea expatinscotland! i could do with a beauty day thats for sure, hmmm think dp would have such a strop he'd wet himself!
