I think I have the best brother in the world

I hate to brag, but my brother is the best in all the world, whenever I need him he's there, he's my best friend and the dad I never had all rolled into one, not to mention amazing uncle to my kids.

He has just bailed me out of the crap yet again and I just had to tell as many people as I could just how fab he is and how I couldn't ask for a better little bro than him. So there we go.

Ahh that is lovely. I hope my DD talks about her brother like that in the future. Smile

I'm glad you have such a good relationship with your brother. mine is my best friend. We stuck together when our Mum left home (he was 8, I was 11) and through our teen and adult years. Apart from dh he is my first port of call for help/celebration/news and always will be.
Brothers are great! Enjoy them! Grin

Haven't known my brother too long -- about 5 years but he has turned out to be a lovely guy who l have grown very close to. He is always there when l need him.
I resent the years l did not know him but am so grateful that l know and trust him now Grin

awww

that has brough tears to my eyes. i wish me and my sister were that close. i hope to raise my sons to feel like that about each other.

how did you get on as chidlren? did your parents place alot of emphasis on being tehre for each other or did it just happen like this?

Pinkjenny · 06/01/2011 16:02

Aw, I hope my dd and ds have a special relationship like this.

Boo, we hated each other when we were kids, every chance we got we would try and cause the other pain lol, but it all changed when we spent a summer with my Dad in America, he was a grumpy shit head and we united against him to get through it, so from about 14 and 12 we were best friends. My mum died 8 years ago and I guess that made us even stronger. He was the only person who knew how i felt and me him. Even though we were at each others throats most of our childhood we were always very protective over each other. If someone picked on my brother at school they risked a black eye from me! I could hit him but I wouldn't let anyone else!!!!
