my family and I are staying with my brother and his family for four days.

we live abroad, so i don't see my Bro very often.

this was the only dates my bro and I could manage over the holidays, and they said 'come, but we are going out to a party on NYE'

I didn't think they would actually go out, and leave us!

It's a party just down the road, with families invited. They haven't told the hosts we are staying, 'so that they don't feel pressured to invite us', and are leavnig us at home..

AIBU to be disappointed ?

No, YANBU, your brother should have told the party host and asked if you could come.

bellavita · 31/12/2010 18:28

YABU - he told you of his plans before you came over.

LesAnimaux · 31/12/2010 18:31

YABU..he told you off his plans....personally I wouldn't have left you, or would have wangled you an invite....but that's by the by....why are you surprised about something you were told about?

Actually...I wouldn't have left my sister....I've never met you....maybe your DB wants a break form you.
