He came over all shy!!!!!

I was so surprised! It doesnt help that hes the only man Ive been with, Ive only done this for him a couple of times before and I myself was feeling really shy. When he walked in he probably got the shock of his life because I was sat on the bed in all my lacy, satinny, high heel glory Grin His eyes popped out, and then he grinned but he was blushing like mad and I could tell he was very shy. Im not the first woman hes been with, and we've been together seven years now, so his shyness threw me! Things progressed though, and I can tell you that he wasn't shy for much long after Grin

So what I wanted to know was this: Firstly, what do you DO when you dress up for your DH/DP ? How do you approach him, and what do you say/do??!

And secondly, how does your DH react when you dress up like this? Is shyness normal in men of 33 years old ?????

"So the flip side (and not to pander to those mentioned by highheelsandlace), what's the best way for a chap to return the favour and surprise his DP?" DevonshireCat

There was a HUGE thread about this a while ago, really massive, very funny informative.

The overwhelming consensus was:

Definitely strip off and do the Hoovering.... Flick a duster around. No Ironing, that is dangerous, and yes, better to strip off after you have done the dinner.

That's the female equivalent. Definitely Shag. Every time.

Honest. Hmm

[Fingers definitely not crossed behind my back, definitely]

I dress up for my dh a fair bit and he loves it! I once wore an Ann summers formula one outfit when the grand prix was on - he was very impressed ;) I think I would laugh if he dressed up for me though - his version of a seduction is to lie naked and spreadeagled on the bed with a creepy leering expression on his face - nice....

Last yeaar near our anniversary, i was on tinterweb while dh watched tv, when he hasked what i was looking at, i showed him the '50s style suspenders from kiss me dealdy and said 'oh, well, thinking you could buy me these for our annoversary and we could spend the night in',. dh nearly choked before managing 'er, i'll tell my mum she doesn't need to babysit for a meal'!

They work every time, but tbh i'm so knackered they hardly see the light of day!

MissHissyFit can you point us to the thread you mention?

Thanks

X#2 had arranged to borrow someone's house while they were away. It had a big log fire, we were freshly engaged, there were some sexy ideas going on about the big fluffy rug in front of the fire ... I thought I'd fan his flames a bit more by wearing nothing but the stockings-and-undies malarkey under my coat.

On the way, he informed me that we were stopping at his sister's for a family dinner.

I hadn't met the sister before. I kept my coat on throughout the meal.

Argh.

Oh Grace, that is very very funny Grin

Thread I was thinking of was where OP said she'd dressed up as a french maid to cook dinner and her H seemed to me more interested in the menu, than what was on the menu

anyone recall who did it?

highheelsandlace · 26/11/2010 14:28

Loving everyones posts..I think I got the male equivalent last night: a lovely meal in a luxury restaurant, and a slow and steamy "dessert" afterwards ..he had obviously been thinking about my high heels and lace all day while at work Wink

i have the feeling that if i hoovered the entire house wearing only boxers and fireman's hat that would do it ??

IfGraceAsks · 26/11/2010 20:51

How soon can you get here, TDD?

TDaDa · 26/11/2010 20:54

Grin Grin

And i tend to hoover the house weekly in between cleaner visits...what a waste !
