Birthday of H gone to contemplate future after 33 years

Can anyone help with a dilema. Sent H packing last weekend as he said some very nasty things. Been maried 33 years but 14 moths ago he stopped trying in our marriage and become very indifferent to me causing me all types of heartache. I am in conflict at the moment one half wants him back for the good 30 odd years and 2 lovely children but the other half does not want him back after what he put me through.

Its his birthday next weekend and I am torn as to get him something and go and see him, or ignore the day altogether or get something and give this to another person to take to him.

All advice welcome.

if he is that bad, and you don't want him back, then just ignore his birthday

he is a grown man, not a child, and birthdays shouldn't hold so much significance, tbh

unless you are looking for an excuse to open up a dialogue (which would be rather silly), I would just ignore it

i seperated from my husband 3 months ago and today is his birthday.

He ignored mine about a month ago and I had planned to do the same to him but I felt really bad letting the day pass without doing anything. Just sent him an email saying "Happy Birthday" and that was all.

If you have a hope of getting back together I would maybe send a card and if you want to buy a present maybe keep it till he comes home and give it to him then

Thanks for your honest views and I think you are right. He is not a child and I like the idea of sending an e mail it shows i remmbered but not sending out the wrong message.
