I caught my dh doing it while he was driving and teased him about it but he said that every guys did it. Me think not !!! So does your husband have this not so lovely habit ???

to answer op - no. I have never once in nearly 13 years caught him doing this. Nor have I ever seen him rummage, or rest with his hands down there.

I have been with dh for 8 years and it was the first time I have noticed it !

Not in my presence but I suspect he does it in the loo.

I do not scratch my fadge and then sniff it though.

my dh does it all the time but he also picks his nose and feet while watching tv...mmm nice!

He reckons all men do it too and if i say anything then i am 'nagging'!

This has finally made me sign up to this website after a long time lurking.

It is absolutely essential to give a quick sniff. Impossible not to.

My son is 10 and I recently saw him having a sly sniff after a quick scratch so it looks like it is part of the hard wiring of the male of the species.

There's feeling at home with someone and there's treating someone like they aren't there. This behaviour fits into the latter category.
I don't want "best behaviour" but I do want some effort to appear sexy, desirable and caring.

That is just disgusting! No really. Why do they have to do it?
My DS farts without any embarrasment. I cannot stand it. He thinks it is unhealthy to hold it.
He loves cats so I doubt he would fart on any.
He does not smell his fingers after touching his balls but sometimes after picking his earwax. That is just revolting and I told him not to do it in front of me. Yet, he seems to be reluctant to sniff me. I am sure I smell better than his earwax.
And when you look at him you will never guess he does these ugly things.

I have never seen DH do that, no. Nor has he ever farted or picked his nose in front of me. He even closes the bathroom door to clip his nails!

I think it´s awful that men do this, but even worse when they are asked not to & still do it.

I would shout if any man did that round me. I don't shout often but really wouldn't tolerate that. The first time my husband did that in front of me would be the last. I'd tell him it killed my desire for him dead and I'm sure that combined with shouting would make him stop.
That probably wouldn't work for those of you who rarely have sex with your husbands though.
