Sex in the morning : serious question!

DH and I have been married for 23 years and still have a great relationship with lots of laughter Grin. Sex is a bit patchy now to be honest: reasons being a) he comes home after 10pm most nights so I go to bed before him 2) my hormones are beginning to creak so there are times when I am just not interested and 3) we don't get to spend huge amounts of time alone in each other's company except on holiday, but this summer when away we met up back in the room in the afternoons and it was great! Grin. Anyway, the problem IS.... he likes sex when he wakes up and i don't. Have always hated it. I like to have a cup of tea, clean my teeth, cuddle a bit etc and of course there's never the time for that. He on the other hand is ready as soon as his eyes open and he thinks most blokes are the same!! I disagree, and so he has suggested I ask Mumsnet for the voteGrin! So, girls, are you pro or anti sex first thing?

It’s a bit gross in the morning with dodgy morning breath and sweaty smelly bits Grin but I enjoy it, I think it sets the day off on a good note.

We have sex most morning , think it is a great start to the day.

Pro for me Grin

FairyFace · 26/04/2018 14:13

I'm not a morning sex person usually but sometimes I might, my husband on the other hand is like a horny dog at the weekends, I don't know if its because he had a few glasses of wine the night before, I don't do kissing during morning sex, I don't agree that both of us having bad breath means we wont notice it!

FinnGermey · 26/04/2018 17:17

I always find morning sex a bit rushed. Get to the end before the kids bathe in to the bedroom. More relaxing at night but my DW is hornier in the morning

LearnFromThePast · 26/04/2018 17:23

Pro from me. But I have a high sex drive and never turn it down, so that might skew my response a little

Argh, zombie thread

Dp wouldn't dream of coming near me in the mornings. I literally breath fire and grow horns and a tail until I've had my coffee and some thing eat.Grin
I quite like a bit of AD (Afternoon delight)
or NN nighttime nookieWink

PussGirl · 26/04/2018 18:11

I used to hate it, & was never in the mood, but with current partner seem to be doing it night & morning ha ha!

I try & avoid coming in the morning though - totally knackers me by mid afternoon, such that I can't think straight at work Grin

Wherearemymarbles · 26/04/2018 18:13

These days I can probably count the number of times we have sex in the evening over the course of a year on the fingers of 1 hand and have a couple of digits left over.

Neither of us is ever in the mood. Mornings and afternoons are far better, though work and kids do get in the way.

Men like mornings as this is generally when testosterone levelS peak

Beaverhausen · 26/04/2018 18:53

Hmmm difficult one, dp likes his in the morning too. I don't but I go ahead anyway.

SkaPunkPrincess · 27/04/2018 08:19

I am a morning sex person, but thay rarely happens these days. I prefer it because I am usually knackered when I go to bed and have more energy following a good nights sleep.

It does however have it's prerequisites and this is why its rare. I have to be able to get up, use the loo. Have a (quick) downstairs freshen up and brush my teeth.
If I THEN have the very very very rare chance to go back to bed for a cuddle with DH then it's definitely on.
