to all the lovely Mumsnetters who supported me 5 years ago.....
cant believe it is that long ago when I was posting about his affair and then he left and people here were so supportive.

I now have a fab husband, a step DD who is 13 and although it hasnt been easy, we are getting there....

I sometimes read back my posts to see how far I have come and how supportive people can be even though you have never met them.

For all those single mums in despair, there is life after divorce; it's hard for your kids and you BUT you can make it something positive. I cant remember who it was but it was a mumsnetter who said to me "there is no shame in falling down, so long as you get back up." It is my life motto and very good advice.

Its 5 years in Nov since ex left.
My DS is now 8 and DD is 6. They adore my new DH and their step sister. All 3 DCs still see their other parent which although is trying at times, mostly its all Ok.

Match.com is where I found DH but I was extremely lucky to have found him.

This thread has really made me smile.

I remember your thread from 5 years ago. A few months later you supported me on my own thread when I went through the same thing (have name changed since then).

I too have since married a wonderful man, 7 weeks ago. There is definatly light at the end of the tunnel.

Wishing you a wonderful life together MM.

mistressmiggins · 10/08/2010 07:37
