shit oh shit - have namechanged
heterosexual men - pls tell me the truth

tonight's the night, have overnight childcare and am free to spend night at new man's house. was feeling sexy and confident, had splashed on new underwear BUT AM SPORTING AWFUL BIKINI WAX RASH.

Is there any chance this will be overlooked in the heat of the moment? Or do I have shuffle off at midnight pledging another overnight encounter another time?

I like this guy, we've been dating a month. I wouldn't say we're in a relationship, but there's definite chemistry and I'd like to explore the possibility of one.

Is this going to be a serious put off?

Honesty pls.

I couldn't agree more, G40. Someone who can't enjoy a proper dinner can't enjoy a proper lover either. I don't think we need to worry about the volumes.

Gay40 · 21/07/2010 12:29

I haven't worried before and there's nothing to suggest I should worry in the future.

As we were.

I usually wax myself, upper lip & lower lip, chin and lower cheeks ! I have experienced the pimples all over and major rash under arms! Very frustrating!! But though alot web research and trial an error, this is what worked for me. i started with washing wax off with warm water and while skin is warm i apply hydrocordisone cream (strongest cheapest drugstore brand). This worked amazingly for me. But i also found that it thinned my skin and cause crepeyness, especially around eyebrows, upper eyelid. This is a side effect of steroid creams. What is working for me now is simply using my clarisonic after wax. I use it on a regular basis and i find that since skin is exfoliated it doesnt clog, and i continue so nothing builds up in folicles. Im sure this would work with any exfoliating cleanser if used prior and continuous after. Hope this helps!!

Old thread but most entertaining, especially the bonding of prism and gay40. Sometimes old ones are worth reviving. I wonder how op and her stay-ups are getting on?

BinksToEnlightenment · 08/11/2012 22:25

It was a very fun thread. I loved the wax tips.

I cured mine with Dream Cream from Lush!

Thankfully I grew up in the age of a wee summer immac sesh in the summer and a bit trim in-between times. When I could be bothered.

What's the optimum time between wax and FTS? I'm counting on Sunday afternoon wax being calm by Tuesday afternoon??

(it's been a while,... For waxing and the intimacy...)

Before going on our first holiday with my new man Who is now my dh, I got my legs waxed - hoping for smooth silky legs. What did I get?? A bumpy red rash all over my legs that went into yellow puss filled spots that I spent the holiday putting savlon ointment on!!! :)

It turned out I had an allergic reaction to beeswax. Oh we'll, back to the razor and stubble .....

I'm still here. Don't know about prism, but I'm still reading about women getting neurotic about the extra ounce they might have on their arse and how that naturally will put the whole of mankind off.
