For me it's 'You and You're whinge'
and Gardeners' Question Time.
(thankfully out of the home for 3 days a week, so 'you and yours' a marginal
irritation)

Also, hate hate hate when DC's tune into Capital and it on after they've left for school.( my concession to being a 'COOL' parent)

Currently loving 100 objects, and always Woman's Hour.

I love GQT but can't stand In our Time. I just can't bear Melvyn Bragg's voice. The thing that makes me run (literally!) for the off switch though is Count Arthur Strong's Radio Show urrrrgghhhhh!

Love Woman's Hour though.

I completely agree about Count Arthur Strong, what a waste of breathing!

I hate Count Arthur Strong. Also Shuttleworth.

Woman's Hour and You and Yours - hit and miss for me.

GQT - for me, this suggests a different world, as I don't have a garden but I do have a couple of window boxes. So, for me, occasional listening to this programme is a bit like listening to a foreign language. In a nice way.

And I do like In Our Time. It's one of those 'listens' when I feel I have to actually engage my brain. Though I understand why it's not everyone's cup of tea - Bragg can be a bit, umm, difficult to warm to, perhaps?

But I really, really hate The Moral Maze. I just cannot stand this programme. Even when Melanie Philips is not on it. Sanctimonious claptrap every single time I've ever had the misfortune to mistune in to it.

Any attempt at "comedy" on R4, turn OFF, also somany plays with American accents in them, why is this?

Oh, but OnEdge, not all R4 comedy? Even Ed Reardon and, errm, can't remember the name of the one about the airline... Cabin Baggage? I like both of those.

I dislike Count Arthur Strong, Shuttleworth,
Ed Reardon (just tired of it now). Down the Line (if it ever comes back).

Counterpoint,
Dave Podmore, Look Away Now, Poetry Please, Something Understood, Trevor's World of Sport and In Our Time plus any religious shows are not part of my listening, either.

I've also "gone off" Excess Baggage (just seem more and more "off the beaten track" where people on average salaries, or with children, are unlikely to tread. Used to find it quite inspiring for places to put on that "list of destinations before I die" but no longer listen at all.

Off on a tangents, since some have commented on You and Yours and so forth...

Have to say I quite enjoyed Cabin Pressure, but much preferred Deep Trouble (set in 2012 with HMS Goliath, a submarine). Also enjoyed Hut 33, Think the Unthinkable, and must be one of the few who enjoys both Quote... Unquote and The Write Stuff.

Also, while sometimes listening to David Vine's consumer topics, find You and Yours and Moneybox have broadcast some worthwhile "gotchas" to be avoided, so don't dismiss them entirely, please, people!

Other things I like / have enjoyed:
All Bar Luke
Bleak Expectations
Chain Reaction
Edge Falls
Heresy
I've Never Seen Star Wars
Jo Caulfield
The Museum of Curiosity
Prairie Home Companion, Jackie Mason

Must be a couple of dozen more I cannot think of right now...

Just plain naffness, I think, southeastastra, in respect of John Shuttleworth

iwastooearly... 20 yars of heavy listening, 16-18 hours most days, though I have added Dr Karl (Australian scientist at 3am Thursdays) and Victoria Derbyshire (plus Mark Kermode on films) on FiveLive, and sometimes David Vine and Steve Wright on R2...

Hours listening to R4 have gone down to maybe 10-12 a day!

(while I multitask with between 3 and 7 PCs on the go... and a dozen PCs stored in the garage until I've made more desk space and have some extra monitors up.)

I think Count Arthur Strong is a complete wast of air time as is the Shuttleworths. Not that hot on Moneybox as well.

Loved Cabin Pressure, just brilliant. Also love Ed Reardon, have noticed they have stopped calling him ' a connsumate fare dodger', obviously all those Radio 4 listeners had suddenly taken to leaping over the ticket barriers

Find the Afternoon play very patchy and too many repeats. Considering how many plays have been recorded you would think they could at least repeat something older.

I don't like "Count Arthur Strong" and "The Shuttleworths". My favourites include "The News Quiz", "The Now Show" and any "Mark Steel" comedy shows.
