But I DID like Usha kicking I'm so perfect Shula's ASS about her affair with whoever it was I've forgotten.

That was great! And even Alan being mean to Shula was quite a pleasure and Jill giving her a hard time about prejudice was good too.

Oh and Shula's husband's GAMBLING oh so dragged on forever and ever!! yawn.....

yes, the addiction lines are totally unrealistic.

they are the topic de jour for ages and then the people are all just better, like magic!

So ed is clean and Jazzer is no longer getting brain damage from doing K (and what has happened to his brain damage btw?)

The writers also 'forgot about' Brian's brain damage/fits after he was kicked in the head by a Grundy cow that had Mad cow disease. Big plot line at the time, and now it is never mentioned

Jazzer has recovered remarkably well. With never any relapses or anything.

it is indeed a marvel ..and they keep paying lip service to ed's history by referring to emma not hurting him again. What confuses me more about that is how someone like susan could produce teh nearest thing ambridge has to helen of troy..

I always get so pissed off when they rewrite the history of Emmurrr hurting Ed. He left her. She moved out of the caravan when she realised it was bad for George, but was still together with Ed. Then the test results came through showing that Will was George's father, not Ed, and Ed went off in a strop much to her distress, and became a homeless drug addict. And for that, somehow Emma is responsible, not Ed.

I can hardly bear to listen at the moment as am sick of listening to ed being 'super dad' to george. Think the whole will going off thing is just totally out of character too.

I love lilian - she's so funny and pussycat and tiger are very sweet.

I also teared up a little at the jo grundy and mabel storyline.

Does anyone ever post on the archers boards on the bbc website? Quite scarey over there.

Hang on a minute - who's rewriting the Emma /Ed thing? I think George was fine in the caravan - it was Emma - who is, after all her foul mother's foul daughter who didn't think it was good enough for her!

I think I hate Helen the most - it's the way all her sentences go up at the ends. And I really thought she was going to make things exciting by making a play for Oliver and she didn't.

This evening I started wondering if Annabel is going to lead David astray under the disguise of discussing the digester...

No, the caravanwas damp and cold and Emmurr was being leaned on to move into Susan's, and then George had an accident, which is what convinced her to move out.

Then when the test results came through, Ed left her. Not the other way around. But for some reason, it's taken for granted that it was her fault that Ed was hurt.

The BBC boards are full of people who have listened to The Archers since day dot and they are very very pedantic.

However they do know everything about everyone in the archers so quite interesting. One of the writers - keri davies - is also on their a lot and answers ad hoc questions.

They got very worked up because the script writers got hayley's pregnancy dates wrong - they managed to work out when she conceived and that the writers had got her gestation dates wrong.

And i also loathed siobhan.

LOL at Hayley's pg dates being wrong! I bet the boards went MAD about that!

They may not be nutters on them there boards... but let's say they're extremely passionate, focussed, and have pehaps EVEN less life than me!!!!

Agree that bbc boards are scary but fascinating..
