Definitely a Marky gang member. There would be no coming back from an attack like that for any of the mentioned cast members.

Mick because every Archers listener would rejoice if he was sent away for a very long time. Joy deleted the CCTV and will hopefully get done too, although I think the pub CCTV was wiped for something else, maybe Harrison’s new love turning up and so not by Joy. Happy for Joy to take the fall for it though

I voted Harrison, but it's wish fulfilment. Difficult to choose between him and Mucky Mick. I suppose the advantage of going for MM is that Joy would be involved too, so two for the price of one. Pity it seems highly unlikely that Pip had anything to do with it.

I voted Amber but also suspect Brad or Aamber's dad. She's definitely being shifty. Jazzer was also acting very shifty when George was found - possibly protecting someone- most likely Brad, possibly also Amber ...

As several people have said on the main Archers thread and/or the spoilers thread, I think they are going to toy with us. I wouldn't be surprised if we are eventually told that A wiped the CCTV because A thought B was involved, but then it turns out B wasn't, and C called the ambulance but said nothing later about finding George's body because C believed that D had done it, but then it turns out D wasn't, etc etc. I also agree that Marky's men would have made quite certain George was dead.

It’s Keira - she and George crossed paths as she was sneaking out, she thought he was following her, she hit him with the bottle she was taking to her friend’s house. She might realistically have known the code to his phone to call the emergency services - then legged it. Marky’s gang would have finished him off and would not have used a bottle as a weapon. The CCTV nonsense is a red herring - likewise Jazzer’s furtive behaviour - all of this is people covering for someone they wrongly believe to be the culprit. George may or may not remember what happened, but he won’t want to admit he was felled by a 14-year- old girl. Keira may or may not confide in Henry (depending on whether she us given a voice) - he will understand about self defence (even if Keira only imagined George was after her).

nah, it was Oliver, he'd heard too many of the rows and knows George all too well. Sadly, being old, he wasn't quite strong enough to complete the mission. But he will never be found out.

agreed why would a Marky gang member have a prize chardonnay bottle (yes he could have been given it at the Bull, but would they really go into the pub?). Also they wouldn't bother calling 999

I'd love it to be Mike but suspect he's not had enough air time recently to be a suspect.

Without the CCTV, a witness or forensics the police have little chance of clearing this up. Even if Harrison or Mick's fingerprints are on the bottle they have a plausible reason for handling it in the pub

It also takes somebody incredibly stupid or angry to hit an inebriated person over the head with a glass bottle, which is very much Kenton.

Kenton is reckless too. I doubt he wiped the CCTV. Probably had help from Brad or Harrison on that front.

I reckon Jazzer thinks/knows it was Brad or Chelsea (more likely than Brad, frankly) and is worried for them. Wasn't Brad with Amber, though? If whoever it was called 999 - presumably on George's phone, or they'd have been caught by now - then either of them might have known his PIN number. If it was a Proper Criminal they'd presumably (a) have a burner phone and (b) not have called 999!

He hasn't been talking, he had access to CCTV and Jazza saw him legging it. He'd also have the conscience to call an ambulance after he did it.

I'd love it to be Lynda Snell. She'd give a rousing speech in her defence in court - a public spirited act to rid Ambridge of the scourge of toxic masculinity.
