I love Alfie ..... it's a very funny show (in fact one of the few actual comedies left on Radio 4 😂).

I think they are brilliant! So funny and strangely informative.

It's great and stands out very well from many of the shows in the half 6 slot.

Agree that it harks back to a time when R4 comedy was genuinely funny, also makes you think.

Very very rare that something makes me laugh out loud.

I expressed that badly. What I should have said is that it’s one of the few current R4 comedy shows that is genuinely funny, as most of them used to be, but no longer are.

I'm with borntobequiet. As far as Radio 4 comedy goes, we're currently in a desert, and have been for some time. Which is tragic when you think about how in the past Radio 4 has been the source of loads of great shows which have become classics in their own right, or have done that and also gone on to other media types like television or even film.

Only one Scottish date and too far away in Glasgow....boo

Just finished listening to the episode about the stolen dog.

Loved that Zeus came out of retirement and hadn't lost his enthusiasm.

So glad I happened upon this thread… just booked tickets for June.

Slightly bereft I’ve just finished series 7.

Love Alfie, went to see him last year and really enjoyed it. He has some absolutely cracking stories.

Hoping to go and see him at our local theatre. Hoping he'll be as good as the radio.

I'm so pleased that It's A Fair Cop is back for Series 9 - there are two new episode on iPlayer. I went to see Alfie's live show recently and he said the BBC had decided to stop making it. But then it got really popular as people discovered it on BBC Sounds, so the BBC came back to him to ask if he'd do some more! Great series.

I didn’t realise it was cancelled and recommissioned. It is such a good listen. Each episode is about the length of my commute so I’m often seen gaffawing in my car
