Anyone Else Think Heart Radio Is Rubbish?

So when I lived in the SE London are I used to listen to Heart 106.2. In the late 90s/ early 00s is was known as London’s best music variety. They used to play Heart 80s on a Friday night ( I’m going back a long time ago) and a real mixture during the day.
They played club classics that were genuine club classics, from Odyssey and Sister Sledge to 90s classics.
In the last few years it’s turned rubbish, never plays classic disco music and it’s all the same songs , literally the same songs over and over again.
It seems to be commercialised now, like a national radio show.
Anyone remember Danny Petroni’s Sunday night love songs?!!

Oh I hate it. Whiny dirges by sexless twats who are supposed to be appealing to me as a middle aged woman, or breathy girls who will be chucked out of their recording deal on their 25th birthday.

Oh good not just me. It used to be a good radio station, before it became a national station. Is Jamie Theakstone still on?

I can’t bear Amanda Holden in the morning - I listened for a bit to give it a go but even her co host ( Jamie something ?) sounded like she was boring him too

It has always been very tightly programmed (I.e. small playlist, very repetitive, not much talk) and aimed at a very precise core target audience. If you don’t like it now but used to, you’ve probably just got too old for it. Try Smooth or Magic.

Come on over to Magic Soul. Friday and Saturday evenings are devoted to proper floor-fillers like Odyssey and Sister Sledge.

It's just cheap white sliced bread. Bland, inoffensive, background music for people who aren't interested in music but like constant sound to make their dull lives a more interesting shade of crap.

But if it makes them happy, good on them.

DAB radio has Heart UK, Heart Dance, Heart 70 and 80s and 90s music. So lots of choice.

every station global owns is the same, boring playlists, tedious chat and too many ad breaks!

Yes, they're all exactly the same. Heart, Classic FM, LBC News, Smooth Country and Radio X all sound exactly the same.

Heart is awful. Yes Jamie theakston is still there. Id prefer it if he were alone. Amanda Holden is an unbearable drama queen. The girls at work always have heart on for background noise and it's like pipe music to me. I've had to beg my boss to let me use head phones to listen to something, anything, it could be white noise, just to make it stop. The same cycle of songs are played on heart routinely. You will hear the same song multiple times through the day. It's ruined some of my favourite songs for me. Unbearable. And don't get me started on the heart millionaire advert that's rammed down your throat between every song. Or heart splash the cash. And worst of all the YEAH YEAH YEAAAAH!!! that was screamed out by an out of tune somebody ....God give me strength.
I recently moved to a new job and so happy to be away from it. Only to discover my boss here listens to it too. It's okay though because as soon as she leaves at 2 I switch to greatest hits radio with ken Bruce. And just for the record. As a reply to those who say if we don't like it it's because we've aged out. I haven't aged out and j still hate it.
