Nigel Owens, rugby referee extraordinaire. What a brilliant programme, and thank heavens Kirsty knows when to just shut up!

It was fantastic. What a wonderful man he sounded. Kirsty is a tremendous interviewer.

He helped Gareth Thomas (WRU captain) when he was struggling with his own sexuality and has a huge amount of respect both on and off the field. I'm adding this one to my list of DID favourites.

Just listened, very moving. What a lovely, eloquent man

What's DID?

officerhinrika · 05/02/2017 19:36

I really enjoyed it but I am a bit of a fan of his. Nice to know he is as lovely as he appears.

Desert Island Discs
I agree very good episode. (and I hate all sport)

CoffeeDiamonds · 05/02/2017 19:44

Thank you. I'm going to listen to it!

Thanks for the heads-up ringling. He is excellent and it was such a contrast to last week. There was passion and feeling in his voice as he described events, unlike DB who sounded like he was doing a wooden reading of the script of someone else's life.

NO told us about triumph and disaster, and treating those two imposters the same.
DB name-dropped that he's mates with Sir Elton.Hmm
Worlds apart.
