The blue that most people don’t get only really works with American pronunciation.

slightly annoyed not to have got purple first. I didn’t really know what blue was but I knew I’d heard it. I had spotted yellow but had doubts about one of them. All in all quite lucky to get perfect.

I’m not sure which of the purples people don’t know, they are all quite recognisable to me.

I haven't heard of one of the purples, but googling it afterwards I recognise a photo. And I hadn't heard the blue one, perhaps that's more common in the us.

DH spotted purple. I agree that being of a certain generation helps. I had to tell my mother what blue meant, she’d not heard of it either.

Confession time: in googling one of the words, one of the first results was an explanation of today’s Connections. So I got purple. Like a pp, I didn’t know 9ne of them. BBD - not an answer I was familiar with.
