Mountain Buggy Urban Double - carrycot & car seat question

Contemplating a MBUD when DC2 arrives in January - will have a 23 month DD too. However, friend has mentioned that the MBUD carrycot is narrow? DD was a large baby, can anyone give me an idea of how long their newborn fitted the carrycot for?

Also, can you fit a maxi-cosi cabrio-fix on? Website just says 'travel system compatible' not managed to find any indication of which car seats?

Thinking of a second-hand purchase. Thanks.

it is narrow but quite long. My friend had he DD in it for 5months and she was 8lbs 7oz when born so not tiny, she is in labour now with her 4th and the carrycot is ready for the new arrival. she loves her MB circa 2008 uses it everyday for a variety of different ages and stages as she is a childminder.

the carrycot is narrower than the single buggy version, i did have two and i had the twin one for my twins. i think the new MBUDs 2010 can fit a car seat the old ones were not supposed to but i did fit the older style car seat adapter on one side without a massive problem, i was trying to fit two but i couldnt physically get two maxi cosi carseats to fit on. i did fit one on though. it is quite universal i think, but i would recommend the maxi-cosi car seats with easybase.
