what is the best pushchair/buggy board combo?

I've never had a buggy board but we're about to move and the new walk to pre-school will be too much for DS1, even on his bike.

So I think I need a buggyboard but our current buggy can't take one.

I'm going to invest in a new buggy and buggyboard and wondered what the best combination was?

DS2 is 18 months and the buggy won't be used for naps, so I'm not bothered about it reclining particularly. However I want it to fold as small as possible, and ideally not be too much of a faff to get the buggyboard on and off.

Any advice gratefully received!

Have a look at this site it tells you which pushchairs the buggy boards will fit safely.

2nd hand graco mirage or graco citisport and an original lascal buggy board, the whole thing will fold in one and as light as a feather to lift in and out of the car!

My other suggestion would be to get your older one a mini micro scooter instead.

Oh brilliant site. Thanks.

Is the Lascar the best kind or are there alternatives? I don't know too much about buggyboards tbh.

Can you unclip them easily when you fold and unfold the buggy?

oh sorry - x-posted with you Cargirl.

So with Graco you don't need to unclip them at all then? Does that mean that the buggy is wider when you fold it?

oh, now I'm confused because the site Hennipenni linked to says that the Graco Citisport gives only a "compromised fit" with the board, and has poor headspace for the child and an uncomfortable pushing position for the adult.

Would I be better going for something with a 10/10 compatability like a Maclaren?

I don't think a scooter will cut the mustard unfortunately, it's a pretty long walk up some steep hills and I fear DS1 will give up completely going uphill and whizz off at 90 mph going home.

Those graco pushchair fold flat rather than umbrella fold.

My focus would be on heavy and easy they are to push with a child in the pushchair and a child on the buggyboard.

The best combo I found ever was a bugaboo frog and lascal board - could steer and push it one handed fully laden, 2nd best was the graco mirage.

Hi, interested in this too! I have a Mamas and Papas skate, checked the lascal website and it said 5/10 fit, does anyone have experience of this combo or suggest an alternative?
