arrrrrrrrrrrgh - Phil & Teds Dash?? Or something else...

OK, have one month old. Planned on sling. Sling + baby + heat + bad back = too much. Need buggy.

Want:

  1. Parent facing (if at all possible)
  2. S/thing good for walking off road but also around London
  3. Maybe with possibility to convert into a 2-child option in the future (you never know)

Can't find anything that matches these 3 requirements.

Have heard that Phil & Teds Dash is good - despite not being parent facing. Still, that's 2 out of 3.
Has anyone got one and, if so, how's it been?
I note no reviews in the Reviews Section.

OR can anyone recommend another buggy...

Cheers for any feedback!

Baby Jogger City Select?

starts life as a single then you add extra carrycot/seat unit to make a double, both seats can be parent facing and have 'full' views. not sure about the off-road bit though but sure someone else can comment

Huge thanks Tweetinat - hadn't even heard of this make. It looks perfect.
Website says its not specifically for off road - while the BJ City Elite is - however, think the latter is just outward facing.
Have you owned any Baby Joggers? Others seem to rate them.
Anyhow, many thanks again - REALLY pleased to have posted this!

hi,we have just bought a britax dual.its bigger then a p&ts but as light. and the main seat can face you, while baby is in carrycot or fully recline seat underneath. great pram!!

i have the city select and to be honest it does look a little odd as a single, i have twins so dont use it as a single much and its longer than a single. its ok off road, the quality is great, i love it. the quick fold is fab.
the britax looks better than the phil and teds, i have had every version of the phil and teds except the dash because they had a few problems with it and didnt want to chance having a faulty one. the only thing with the britax is its wide (but not as wide as a side by side) 69cm, whilst the BJCS is 65cm and alot of other singles around 60cm. i think the mountain buggy single was about that wide and i didnt ever have a problem getting around with it when i had single babies. the britax is rear facing, supposed to be great off road and there is a great deal on in boots and also tripple points.

I too have the Britax B-Dual and it is FAB! Would totally recommend it.

We have the Phil & Teds Sport (v similar to the Dash, except for the brake and a couple of other features), and its excellent. And if you have 2 children of differing ages, appears to be the pushchair of choice (there are dozens of them around where I live). Very sturdy and comfortable (good suspension). A real work horse. The only downside is that its a bit heavy. I wouldn't get a Britax purely on the extra width (disclaimer: have never tried one), as the P&T is as wide as I could go and still get through normal single doorways.

Obaby sport xi - like p&t but half the price

phil & teds is brilliant except if your nearly 3 year old is as tall as mine and therefore I can't get the hood up or raincover on when it's set up for toddler and newborn baby.

Glad you like it zumm - I came across it while searching for another pram and immediately loved it - if I ever need a double then this would be the one I go for
