Is it just me, or is the loola awkward?

I loved our loola .... until we started using it. The base MAY take the carseat (maxi cosi thingummy) but that's too awkward to take in and out of the car. It can realistically only be fitted with 2 people & preferably no baby!
The lining is bobbling after just 4 months use, the wheels on the loola are awkward whether set to 'shopping trolley' or straight mode, and the rain cover has ripped already. It's specs make it ideal, but in practice - are they all like this? Thinking of ebaying it & purchasing something you can get in and out of the house with, & up kerbs without getting a hernia, but it would have to face both ways???

I hated my Loola Up so no it's not just yours.

I replaced it with a Britax Vigour 3+ which I love love love. I have a obaby stroller now and my Britax has gone to my friend to replace her Loola that she hated! She loves the Britax as much as I do.

I didn't like mine either - in theory - great - in practise heavy and awkward. It really didn't like to reverse - and especially not up steps! (not good if you have steps up to your front door).

I have replaced with a bugaboo bee plus. The bee plus is utterly fab (but expensive).

yep, got one for ds, it's crap, really hard work to push.

I really liked my Loola and was gutted when dd got too big for it . Didnt find it awkward or heavy.

rightsaidfred · 13/06/2010 14:05

Yep, hated it. Bought secondhand and it's still hanging around in my cellar. Keep meaning to stick it on ebay but feel a bit guilty as they are so crap. I found it heavy to push and impossible to steer. Swiftly replaced with a Bugaboo Cameleon.

I was considering the Loola but went for the Bugaboo Bee instead as it was lighter and had better reviews.

Glad it wasn't just me then. Now all I have to do is persuade dh we need another!!

Heavy and cumbersome especially up steps, crap rain cover and seat doesn't sit up very straight.

On the plus side it faces both ways, the suspension is good and the hood comes right over.

They have a red one in the sale at Mothercare at the moment - £139!
