Lightweight folding buggy for v tall mum to push!
mistressploppy · 02/06/2010 13:52
Hi, DS is 7mo and currently in a Quinny Buzz (as we live on an unmade road) but I'd like to get a lightweight easy-to-fold buggy to chuck in the car or bus for short trips round town/holidays etc
I'm nearly 6 foot though and DH is 6'2", so are there any out there with extending handles? I hate it when you kick the bottom of the chair as you walk...
Thanks!

Maclaren XT has extending handles. I have it on shortest setting and still a reach for me (I'm 5'5"). It's not the most lightweight around but it's soooo easy to fold & easy to push.

Maclaren Techno XLR has extending handles - my dh is 6'6" and I'm 5'7" and it suits us both fine. It is bulkier than some buggies, but we love it!

For a really cheap option the MOthercare pick n mix has high handles for a lightweight stroller.

We have a Jane Sonic, which has extending handles and the back wheels retract when you fold it up so it's not as long.
It's fairly lightweight. My only complaints would be that the 3 lie back positions are all fairly laid back and the "shopping" bit is tiny.

Maclaren Techno XT for me. DH is 6' 1" and I'm 5' 2" but this works great for us.

Mac xt is fab, especially now they come in black rather than school sock grey mine is my holiday buggy/sling in car boot just as you want it for, great suspension and can easilybe pushed one handed more than 'cheap' umbrella folds. Worth the price and often on offer in Mothecare/Kiddicare/Boots etc.
