rips in my P&T that needs heavy duty stitching - where to take it ??

I have two small tears in my P&Ts. One is in the seat bit of the doubles seat at the back and the other is in the corner of the basket bit at the bottom.

I am not overly concerned about the tear in the basket but would like to get the one in the seat fixed asap before it gets any worse.

Has anyone had this problem and where have you taken it to get it fixed ?

I had thought of a place like Timpsons that does shoe repair/dry cleaning and see if they can do it or suggest anywhere ?

DH thinks that he will just buy some cotton and will stitch it himself and that will suffice !!

I had tears in the corner of the doubles seat and in the side of the basket. I got replacements from the retailer, but I am still using the damaged ones as the tears haven't got any worse. I intend to have the tear in the basket patched by a dressmaker but I really don't think anything can be done about the one in the seat. This is a common problem with the P&T so it is well worth contacting your retailer even if it is out of guarantee and they might help you out.
