Maxi Cosi car seat for newborn

Hi. I want to buy the Quinny Zapp stroller with the Maxi Cosi Cabrio car seat attachment to use from birth as it ticks all the boxes for me. Is the Maxi Cosi car seat suitable for a newborn to sleep in (while strolling and in the car only, not at home!)as it doesn't look like the baby would lie entirely flat to me? Do newborns have to be flat at all times while sleeping? All the ads say its suitable from birth but wanted to see if any other mums out there have used it with newborns as a pram substitute. Thanks!

It isn't suitable at all as a pram substitute. It is a carseat, not a pram.

I have the Zapp and it was a mistake. It doesn't recline, our baby looks uncomfortable in it and he only went it in from 8 months or so.

My advice to you is to ditch the Zapp + Maxi Cosi idea and go for something that reclines fully flat for a newborn.

It's definitely not flat. Very few car seats are and the ones that are tend to get negative/mixed reviews (at least in this country).

For that reason I personally wouldn't use it frequently as a stroller. It's fine as a car seat but obv. take frequent breaks on a long journey.

you should only keepo them in the car seat for around 2 hours at a time
