Your votes please! 11 month old and 2 1/2 year old - Bugaboo and buggy board or Phil & Teds?

I'm not a buggy person IYSWIM, but, an 18 month age gap and pregnancy-driven hysteria means I now have a Bugaboo cameleon, a Phil and Teds vibe and a Maclaren quest.

Although it's served me well, I've always hated the P&T, even before I bought it. The bugaboo is excellent and I've always loved using it (even if I do feel a bit of a ponce). But, I want to be pragmatic and I've no idea which I'd be best keeping in either practical or financial terms. I'm assuming I should keep the Quest, it's really handy and I do get quite a bit of use out of it.

Anyway, your votes please!

A - Sell bugaboo
B - Sell P&T and buy buggy board

Oh, and I've never used a buggy board, are they actually crap and really annoying? I also have no idea how old DC are when they start walking everywhere all the time ...

or,

C - sell P&T and Bugaboo and get a double maclaren
D - sell all three and get a double maclaren

I tried DS on a buggy board when he was 2.5 and it was a disaster. Total PITA, I was kicking it as I walked along.

We still have a P&T sport and DS is now 3.5 and sits in the back and can hop in and out as we go along and 20 month DD sits happily in the front. We do walk alot though so I wouldn't want to try and make him walk a long way when we are in a hurry.

Some of his friends seem to walk a lot and have long been out of the pushchair, but I think their mums must walk slower than me. I tend to charge off like it's an olympic sport .

I have a 10month old and a 2.5yr old, and swear by my P&T.

DD1 hops in and out as she fancies and DD2 is happy both in the front or the back.

Yeah, I've have had DD in the underneath seat since DS was out of the lay-flat part too. It does work well. Extremely practical.

The thing is, it's a really heavy and ungainly thing. It's really hard to push one-handed, mainly because the break is a push button in the middle of the handle. FFS. Also, there's the standard no-place-for-shopping P&T issue. Oh, and I'm short so can't see DS at all. Gah.

I hate the P&T but that is supposed to be irrelevant! Most important is practicality and best financial return. so, I should keep it? Would a double maclaren be ok?

Now that your baby is in the pushchair bit I would recommend bugaboo and buggy board - I used the lascal maxi and attached it to the uprights so it was really really clost the frame - gave me loads of stride room - no banged shins here. Had baby rear facing so the chatted to each other.

I'm a short arse too and have a bad back the bugaboo & buggy board was a dream to push compared to the P&T

I hate steering the P&T too, but I think it's the best of a bad lot. The side by side doubles are either huge and easy to push (like the 3 wheelers, we also have one of them) or slimmer and a bugger to push.

The bugaboo wheeled board is brilliant. Have a cameleon, so with the handlebar at max extension I never had a problem with kicking the board. Also big enough for dd to sit on it.

Had the bugaboo from when ds1 was about 5 months and dd was 2 and 7 months.

Now have ds2 (8 months) and ds1 is 4 and still frequently (perhaps too frequently) hitches a ride.

depends how much walking you do. The bugaboo board has a seat on it though which is rather nice. also the handlebar extension means you dont get anywhere near the buggy board. Not the case with other pushchairs, I have tried several and ended up kicking the buggy board with every single one.

Ooooh, people liking/enjoying the bugaboo option too. Good! I don't do masses of walking really. Would this be the right sort of thing if I went with the buggy board option?

Oh, and a quick scan tells me I'd get 6-700 euros for the phil and teds and substantially less for the bugaboo. There don't seem to be many secondhand P&Ts available here I'm very surprised actually.

Am I right in thinking I should hold on to the quest?

I've heard lots of good things about the twoo so I'd go for it.

Hi im reading this with interest... i would to here your thoughts on the vibe please? and how about in the winter with the buggaboo and board? im really not sure which option we need... dc 4 is due end oct and dd will be 2... i wal to school everyday well 2 schools and have only 10 mins between the 2. dd hates the buggy but is not gr8 at walking and get lots of throat infections so i am aiming to a double for her...

very much depends depends on your lifestyle and child as to when they will 'walk all the time' some 2.5yr olds will walk reliably for miles whilst others don't til they're four.

As an idea i used my p&t daily as i don't drive up until ds2 was 3.2yr. I then bought a single nipper and used that with a board which he used really well for a further four months. Then i 'made' him walk! Some days now my 4 and half year old will hop in buggy whilst my youngest walks i also have an 18m gap same as yours.

TBH I wish i'd got a double nipper from the outset! double mac would be very hard going to push.

I have a 2.5 yr and a 9month old.

I use a p&t with doubles kit for longer walks, and a bugaboo bee with the bugaboo board for nipping about and in town.The board is fab and I never seem to kick it.

If Dh and I are out together DS1 goes in the p&t as a single and DS2 in the bee.

It all fits in the boot of my car so I have all options whenever needed.

I had a mac twin techno but found it a PITA to be honest. Hard to steer and DS1 was very cramped up in it.

I have also had a M&P luna, M&P beat, BJCM, M&P pliko p3,zia,loola and a rafpol king!!

The above combination is what I have found to be best for us!!
