Pushchair hinges - not just the Macs?

Have just watched this and I'm wondering why it seems to only be Maclaren that are having these trapped finger problems, all the brands hinges seem to be as dangerous as each other. Are Maclarens the worst or have victims of other pushchairs just not come forward?

Will other brands issue safety hinge covers too??

This year, i've had my right index finger eaten by a P&T and a Loola. The P&T incident happened in my local Asda car park when lifting it into car. It was then I noticed it say on the pushchair not to put fingers there .

The Loola incident happened only last week. The blardy thing decided to fold down on my when I lifted it up by the handles. I had to call DP to stop it collapsing further. Finger still hurts thinking about it.

I feel too to let them know though, iykwim.

You think those are bad, you should try having your finger caught in a quinny buzz chassis when the hydraulic opening system goes off unexpectedly! You need 2 hands to put it back down again, I was stuck hopping round the street cursing for England. And my finger was a lovely shade of blue for nearly a week.

I think the maclaren just get it in the neck as they are the most expensive of the umberella fold buggies, and half the childbearing population of the UK owns one.
