Stokke Xplory vs Petite Star Kurvi 3 - advice please

I've been advised to repost this query on this board so am hoping someone can help!
I'm a London mom to be and trying to decide on a pram, but my husband and I have different views on what to go for... Can anyone give me advice on the pro's and con's of these two? We will have a car but will probably be relying on public transport and/or walking for the most part, and ideally will need something that can fold up for storage in our 2 bedroom apartment as we don't have a huge amount of space. Is there really much of a benefit to having a pram that has a compatible carseat?
Any other views on better options gratefully accepted! Thanks!

I had a similar problem last year and after much thought and debate I finally settled on the Kurvi3.

The Xplory wasn't one of the ones I tried unfortunately so I can't help you there. But I can tell you that I am really very happy with the Kurvi.
Its one of the lightest models I found (so excellent for public transport)
And it is by far and away the easiest to transform (forward facing to rear facing etc) of a similar price ranged product.
Also I do like the colour ways, but I have heard from a friend that Petite Star are soon bringing out some new designs which look amazing.
If you can ever get down to a shop like toys are us or some place where you can actually pick up the product and feel it and walk with it etc then I strongly suggest you do.

I'm expecting my first baby and in a similar position- trying to decide between the stokke xplory and the quinny buzz 4. I have blogged my thoughts of the 2:

The Buzz is heavy and quite wide

wouldnt recommend a buzz. as PP says, its very wide so is a struggle to get through doors, and with the seat and wheels its pretty heavy. If you are going for a lie flat carrycot, the dreami that goes with a buzz 4 is enormous and doesnt collapse down at all, its hard bodied and most babies have outgrown it after about 4 months.

secretsme great blog about the xplory. I was all set to buy a Silver Cross Surf and then saw the 2010 Xplory and I am hooked. The new purple colour is fantastic. Like you I think I should be snapping up a 2009 bargain but the improvements to the 2010 are lovely. If you hang on a couple of weeks the 2010 will be in most retailers and online and they will all be competing for your business. If you want a recommendation then go to the website

Thanks so much everyone - that's really helpful. Think I need to get down to the shops and try them out for myself before I make the final decision!

We bought a kurvi and had tos end it straight back as my son at 10 months was too tall for it and his head was banging on the bar at the top. Rather wide for public transport too. Stokke is big for the bus too - again wide and gets tsuck int eh aisle.

Have just bought a bee and love it, it's light and easy to push, narrow, goes completely flat, big basket and can face either way.
