Kiddy board knackered, must I buy another or is there something better?

I've been using a kiddy board on my double mountain buggy for last year and it's dead. I hate it but 3yo cannot walk v.fast & I have to do school runs so no option. It kills my back pushing MB with heavy 18mo dts plus heavy 3yo on the kiddy board and it sticks out too much.
any other ideas? Would be quite nice if it would fit my britax vigour 3 or my XT as I could use it for dts when they're a bit older. Did think of a strolli, but are they a pita to connect and I can't just stick it under the buggy when he doesn't need it can I?

hi AQ , i was totting up the weight i push around in and attached to my mountain buggy. 67kg!!!!! my 5 year old weighs as much as my MB now. anyway my kiddyboards are still ok but i now have 5 and a kid-sit so they get swapped around but i have two in use on each of my side-by-sides. anyway the kid-sit is much longer than the kiddyboard. will a lascal 3d fit on the mb? i think they fit on the xt. i hated the strolli and it kept flipping under with my mountain buggy but i had the origional version. i have seen a buggyboard that sits to the side but when i only have one behind my MB they are to the side anyway. have you tried putting it on one side, i dont have a problem with mine but i have two on each side. my 5 year old doesnt need a board but we live on a busy road and i am always running late for school run so its quicker and safer to have him on a board.

5! Don't think I could cope with 2 kiddyboards, one is annoying enough. I think it's because my spd from twin pg still flares up whenever I push mb with kiddyboard. I do have to one side which helps a bit. Is 3d a buggyboard or kiddyboard? I'll look it up. Thanks!

not as easy to fit as i had one a few years ago and edward didnt like it so only used it twice. i think they have great reviews though and i do see them everywhere.

thanks, mel, so you think it will fit an MB? I thought only kiddyboards did. It's partly the shape of the kiddyboard that gets in my way so I have to stick my back out. I'll check the website see if they say it will fit.
have you still got an mb? you seem to buy so many doubles! I've got 2 doubles and 2 singles at present, think I'll stick with that. When dts are 2 1/2 going to try with single plus buggy board some of the time at least. DD could walk halfway to school now I think! Are your two walking now? I love it, they have such a fab time of it.

only alice is walking and is very wobbly, oscar tries but his feet go faster than his body so he is always falling over, i am taking him to see the HV today and alice is still 0.4centile so am a little concerned about that. i still have my mb and use it at least twice a day from home, it lives up in the play lounge ready for action. its fab. i have just sold my easywalker which was fab as well and now just have the airbuggy and mb until the babyjogger select gets here at the end of the month. i have a friend who is due twins and a tiny car who would like my airbuggy if it fits in her car. i love it as well as its so nippy and can go anywhere but i will see how i get on with the babyjogger select. the kid-sits are fab but they do stick out more than the kiddboard but the are thinner. i am hoping it will fit the babyjogger as the kiddboard will not fit from the look of the back bar.
i would look at the lascal site about it fitting the MB, i thought i had seen on here somewhere that they had it on a double, might be wrong. ask on tamba what they have on their mountain buggies.

Aww Alice must be loving it, dd walked at 12 months (she's 18 now) and it took 2 frustrating months for ds3 to catch up but they're both so speedy now. I'm enjoying twins a lot more now they're both doing more things. Hope dd is ok, I haven't had mine weighed for 9 months so no idea what percentile they're on but they seem pretty normal.
Did check and buggy board will fit, they had excellent info on the mb site. Just have to buy one now!

thats great, i think if you buy them secondhand that you have to check that they have uncut straps on the connectors or they might not fit if they have been cut.

alice is a bit of a pocket rocket, never stopps and very on the ball, you never have to show her anything twice. oscar is slower but still doing well he loves trains and the night garden. they both eat quite well and dont look skinny but are just small we met a lady with twin boys in ikea who were 9 months old and the same size as oscar and alot bigger than alice. hopefully they will catch up later DD1 was small and tended to have huge growth spurts in the summer now she has caught up.
