O Baby Zezu or M and P Sola

Am wanting to get something rear facing for 11 month old DD because she much prefers being able to see us and will soon be spending more time in the buggy while we kill time between school runs etc.

Both the O baby and Sola seem reasonably priced but can anyone tell me more about either of them - seat size/ease of use etc.

Need to have some serious arguments on my side for when I fess up to DH that I'd like a new buggy!

I have the Sola and I love it. My DD is 13 months and has loads of room in it. The hood is huge and completely covers her from the sun when the seat is sat up. The straps are quite small but I can still fasten my DS in them and he is 3 in July. I even pushed him round town in it the other day and had to carry DD because he wanted a nap and it was still just as lovely to push. The basket is a good size too, I can get 3 bags of shopping in it.

I have had quite a few pushchairs and this one is my favourite by far.

Thanks so much for your response - I love the look of the sola but am not sure I'm going to get to see it in the flesh so am very grateful to hear such a positive review.

I've also had far too many pushchairs so want to make sure I get a good one this time - also want to indulge myself as this is my last baby so my last year or so of using a pushchair every day!

I keep looking at other prams but I just know that I won't like any as much as I love my Sola.

It's great with the Lascal Maxi buggy board on it too if you need one of those.

I bought mine and after having a play with it, 4 of my friends have bought it too! It looks funny when we all meet up together with the same pushchair!

I think you should take some photos when you all meet up and sell them to M and P as advertising - you're certainly convincing me that the Sola is the right choice!

Can I be nosey and ask what other pushchairs you've had?

Very useful to know a buggy board will work too.

Had the Silver Cross 3D, Silver Cross Linear Freeway, Maclaren Quest and Triumph, Quinny Buzz and Zapp, P&T, M&P Luna and Sola and a Loola.

I can see me keeping the Sola until DD is out of a pram. DS is 3ft 2 and weighs 17kgs and still fits in it.

It was between the Sola and the Babystyle Oyster and I am so glad I decided on the Sola after reading a few bad reviews about the Oyster.

I hope you like it now after me raving about it!

Just to say that today my DS fell asleep on his buggy board and the bus wouldn't stop for me so I somehow managed to fit both DS and DD in the Sola, strapped in, and it still pushed like a dream!

Am almost contemplating parting with some of my pushchair collection because I love the Sola so much!

Glad you like it! I still love mine. We are ttc DC3 and I thought about selling the Sola to fund the new baby jogger double as there will only be a 2 year age gap but I just couldn't do it!

So I am keeping it incase next one is a girl too. If it's a boy I might just sell this pink one and get the green one!

Can you use the sola for a newborn without the carrycot? Just seems expensive to buy the carrycot and only use for a few months. Does the seat lie flat enough and would it be OK with just a liner?

I honestly think it'd be fine with a liner - maybe a thick sheepskin liner especially as it's not long before they want to be sitting up and looking around a bit anyway. I wish the sola had been around when my babies were newborn - it's great!

Oh thanks for reply weddingseason. I need to make a decision v soon so have been checking in for replies.

Am pretty sold on it as think it is value for money and tbh the carrycot might be too hot for the summer months anyway.

Mrs Willis....Should you see this, any tips for fitting the buggy board? Sola isn't yet on the lascal website and I don't want it to turn into a flat pack furniture scenario with DH this evening so thought I'd ask an expert first!

I have my board connector things on the main bars where 'Sola' is written. Put the left one just above the clip that holds the pram closed then the other one in line with it on the other side.

The clips are facing towards me when I hold the handle and the pegs are on the last hole of the board arms.

The connectors are quite high so the board arms need to be tilted quite high too but make sure the board is flat or tilting towards you a little. Mine is tilting down a tiny bit and keeps putting my brake on when I go down kerbs which is very annoying!

I keep forgetting to change it though!

Thanks Mrs Willis - finally managed it after lots of trial and error and went on our first test run this morning. Still loving my Sola and telling all my pregnant friends how wonderful it is!

Great news! Mamas and Papas have 10% off everything until Sunday night, so you can get the Sola, plus footmuff, plus carrycot for £391 (call it £400 with the delivery charge). That comes in cheaper than the Oyster in any of its combos if you are buying the lie-flat carrycot with it.

Also, the Sola carrycot is suitable for overnight sleeping if you buy the accompanying £19 mattress, so we are going to have this as a moses basket for the first 6 months until the baby moves into a cot, saving us the cost of a moses basket and ensuring we get maximum value for money out of something which is only usable for 6 months. We're going to get the rocker stand from M&P to put it on.
