P&T cocoon for summer baby?

Advice needed please.

I'm due at the end of June and wanted some advice before I make my buggy purchase. I'm going for the P&T sport.

I cannot decide whether to buy a cocoon or not. Will a summer baby get the benefit from a cocoon or will it never be used? I think it looks nice and comfy for a newborn but will it be too hot?

TIA

It will be too hot
Unless you have a tiny baby you will be lucky to get 4 mths use out of it

I think the cocoons are the best thing about the P&T!! I had a Sept baby so maybe a bit more of use to me but I have loved it so much and am gutted that at 7 months she is now too big (she is quite small!). Re being too hot you can always fold the cover back I just loved that you could take it out and carry them about I think better than being carried in a car seat as so much lighter. But as EldonAve says it is possible you might not get loads of use as I know a few people whos DCs were are out of them quite quickly.

My dd is 10 weeks old and we had to stop using the cocoon a week ago as shes too big. I now have a footmuff that she goes in so she doesnt look lost!

She did get very hot in it though and that was in March/April.

Got a one week old baby and i use a foot muff + a blanket instead of the cocoon and it is fine

Thanks very much for all your replies. I've gone ahead and ordered my pram without the cocoon.
