SO not paying £40 to have it cleaned!

I washed it down with washing liquid and a sponge! good old garden hose!

This was due to the fact that A. I couldnt get the seat cover off and B. the hood woulnt go in the machine

TY

how old is your quest? i got all the covers and hood off mine yesterday and washed in machine. one of the reason why i love macs is they are so easy to clean. cannot stand grotty buggies!

MilkNoSugarPlease · 27/04/2010 22:02

Tis new one i think!

Its the blackapple one with bright green in the hood if it makes a differance!

HOw do you do it!!

i have the same one!
first of all you need to unclip the harness shoulder straps from the waist and thread the waist ones off the seat then unthread the shoulder straps from the black plastic on the back of seat and unthread the crotch strap(then you can leave shoulder and crotch strap in place for washing if you want?)

then unclip the seat fabric from the buttons on chassis at side and underseat. should then just pull off from the chassis upwards? is really easy once you've done a few times. do you still have instructions as they will tell you. if not i may have a spare set of instructions if you need [email protected]

MilkNoSugarPlease · 27/04/2010 22:47

you can unclip the shoulders from the WAIST?

I go through the back, Always!

Tbh I didnt even know it had instructions to start with!

God I need to take more notice!

How long does it take to dry? I have to leave at 2.45 to pick up older two, could I do it in the morning and put it on radiator?

TY!

you could possibly? i normally leave mine to dry overnight but then i have more than one buggy so its not end of world if not quite dry. but normally does overnight.

yep they unclip you sort of hold them open and slide the shoulder straps out. its very easy when you know how. i've had so many maclarens i may have an old manual somewhere i can pop in the post for you!

i always wash mine on woollens wash and put hood in pillowcase.

MilkNoSugarPlease · 27/04/2010 23:05

Thats amazing! I had no idea! Ooh is that why it slightly lifts up (the plastic bit its hooked thorugh)? I thought I broke it

Thank you for the offer, but I must have it somehwere! I hope!

This is our one and only buggy so if it doesnt dry I will have to get the hairdryer out!

How do you do the hood? Or do you literally put it in frame but and all?

Your incredibly helpful!! TY!

OP posts:
nicolamumof3 · 27/04/2010 23:19

yes the whole hood on frame. if you got nice weather tomorrow it will dry in garden for a few hours. otherwise just do it once you get home tomorrow afternoon and it will come up gleaming..trust me..have done it many times!!

MilkNoSugarPlease · 29/04/2010 22:09
