bugaboo gecko Vs icandy Apple

being a first time mum and an overwhelming introduction to the world of prams/pushchairs, we have finally narrowed down our choice to a bugaboo gecko (or) an icandy Apple 3 whhel jogger.....but are finding it near impossible to come to a final decision..help!!! they are both about the same in terms of foldability and the amount of boot/storage space. The gecko is much lighter than the apple, and is multi-terrain (we love our music festivals and beach walks) but the handle is at a fixed height (i'm only 4ft 11), the brake is difficult to apply and which? only gives it 43%. The Apple is heavier, but the handle adjusts easily, shopping basket is easily accessible and baby/toddler is a lot closer than in the gecko where the carrycot feels really low down. Which? gives it 79%.
As a typical female i prefer the way the apple looks but want to make the right decision for more practical reasons...especially as both are so expensive (around £600 inc maxi cosi car seat)My partner has left the final decision to me and i completely stuck!! Any advice would be hugely appreciated! Thanks!!

As both have reversable seats i would go for the one that is more your family friendly which from your post is the iCandy. You can get the iCandy 4 wheel and have the jogging wheel as an extra for those 'rough' walks as i do find a single front wheel can be a pain when using public trasport and big kerbs.

Don't know much about the icandy but the gecko is not brilliant off road. I took mine to a outdoor show on a wet day and the front wheels just clogged up and were useless and they haven't been the same since. Think you can get different wheels for the front though but don't know how expensive they would be
