Please can you recommend me a sturdy, deep-seated pushchair with a foot rest thingy for a toddler?

Please give me some good suggestions for a pushchair for 18 mo DD. I currently have a Maclaren Quest and hate the damn thing with a passion, as it feels really rickety, the seat is really shallow so she seems to perch in it, and the cosy toes thing is always dangling out and getting filthy. I may also have PMT

Please can you recommend me a pushchair which is quite sturdily built and which has a nice deep seat. I quite like the look of those ones which have the bar going round the front, in front of the DC's waist (if there is a word for this, I do not know it ). I would also like a foot/leg/calf support. Not too fussed if it's three- or four-wheeler, but would like to be able to get it on ebay

Does anyone have any suggestions for me?

a three wheeler would have a deeper seat. I find bumper bars a faff for toddlers to be honest its hard enought getting them in at that age/size. Maybe have a look at urban detours on ebay as they come up quite cheaply.

Was just going to suggest an Urban Detour but see I've been beaten to it!

Funnily enough I kind of have an Urban Detour - was given to us while I was pregnant but has always lived at my parents' house in the country as it was too big for my tiny hatchback/small terraced house. I now have a bigger car so perhaps I should borrow it back for a trial run. I do love it (except when the wheels go flat) but it's a bit of a beast.

If it's a stroller type you're after I would look at Mamas & Papas Luna/Luna/Ora (this is basically a Luna but was made for Argos) these have lovely large seats on them & are great for a toddler IMO

I would have suggested BJCM but they aren't cheap so didn't think it would be in the OPs budget? Mind you, if you keep an eagle eye you might pick one up cheap locally or something?

Sounds like you want something cheap but sturdy like a M&P Aria or a Graco or a Mothercare Trenton Deluxe.

Or something slightly more upmarket - I love my Loola Up, which fills all your criteria - the cosytoes hooks over the top of the seat as well so can't fall down, but it's not very long for a toddler, DS is only 17 months and his feet are at the end of it. (Cosytoes not pushchair) Some people think it feels rickety though.

Why don't you go to a big baby warehouse type place or somewhere like Mothercare and test a few out, then look for them secondhand? Or try an NCT nearly new sale or similar.

I need to google sliming the wheels as that sounds really useful!

I don't think you can beat Pliko's. My DD used to ride on the foot step on the back (instead of a buggy board) whilst DD2 was sat comfortably in her chariot !

Of course I have 1 to sale (+ can include spare seat covers !)

Just been looking at Urban Detours on ebay and they look good. The one I have is five or more years old and is extremely long, so quite hard to manouevre in shops etc, but I like the look of the newer ones
