pushchair addicts - what can I do with really old pushchairs?

like the title says - what can I do with them?? They're taking up space and don't get used but am reluctant to throw them away as they still could be used plenty more.

I have a used but still very usable and presentable maclaren buggy. Only a bit grubby around the edges from being used by two consecutive babies. About 8 yrs old but clearly biult to last!

And then I have a M&P Pilko, about 7 yrs old, also completely usable, BUT without hood, basket, or anything, just the seat and frame. Rest have been left behind in an overseas move for some reason, leaving me with a skeleton of a pram I don't need.

So are these officially 'dead' or would someone out there, gumtree or ebay, buy them? Or is it a case of freecycling them?

What do you do with 'well loved' prams?

ebay i'd say for the pliko spares/repair? the mac covers should come off? what model is it? then they all go in machine even hood. may make you £20/30 on ebay?

Lastyearsmodel · 24/03/2010 16:25

Try and Ebay them. If they don't sell, Freecycle.

BertieBotts · 25/03/2010 00:53

Good idea buggyjo - OP if you contact Women's Aid or Refuge they should be able to advise you on how to donate the items.

excellent idea

had already managed to sell the maclaren on gumtree (yay!) before i saw these replies but the remains of the pliko will probably not sell so the refuge idea is good - thanks!
