Bugaboo Bee Plus Smaller Hood?? What's that about?!

I'm so disappointed about this - it's quite a lot smaller than on the original Bee, and the main thing I love about it. Mainly because as it doesn't have a carry cot I imagine it is nice to pull it right down over a newborn making it cosy and protective. Considering just buying the old one, but seems silly with all the stuff they've made better. Anyone else noticed/annoyed/got original and think it's a good change?

Rockbird - totally agree it's a rip-off but this is driven by Bugaboo - not JL. JL's policy is that they will price-match anyone, and more often than not already have the best prices on brand stuff. When the Bee first came on the market it was £349, so obviously its popularity has wopped the price up year-on-year!! John Lewis are ace - great customer service - I'd buy stuff from them over anyone else, no question.

Anyone know about custom-made Bee liners / footmuffs by any chance?...

Try Snunkie.co.uk. I've got both a footmuff and a liner. Both excellent quality and cheaper than Bugaboo.

I got the foam liner which doesn't attach to the back - it is held on by the straps. She also does one with wadding that does attach. I love the look of the liner but find it does slip down a bit as my daughter is 'active' in her seat.
