iCandy Peach Blossom - about to order... Any thoughts?

Hi,

I was wondering if anyone could let me know their experiences on a Peach Blossom.

And also - is there actually any difference between a Peach and a Peach Blossom? It seems you just buy an 'upgrade' but I'm not sure if its the same pushchair with attachments or and actual new pushchair.

It seems most people are very happy with their Peach Blossoms - it certainly looked great when the lady in John Lewis demonstrated it to me.

My gap will be 16 months.

Any advice/reviews?

Thanks!

Oh - and does anyone have any idea whether or not it will fit into a VW Golf boot?

I know someone online who has got one - she has been a nanny for a long time (so has used lots of pushchairs) and is just expecting her second DC, her gap will be about 20 months. She is using it as a single at the moment and has said it's one of the best pushchairs she's ever used - but obviously hasn't used it with two yet. The only thing is the back seat does not sit up straight which may be an issue with a small age gap. It lies flat and sits up in a reclined position.

I have a pear so the same sort of idea but the older style one. I love it, can be used as single or double, facing towards you or away, with car swats, with carrycots and independent seat units that full recline just like my bugaboo. I am a CM and so have used loads of doubles and I heart this one!!

I'm bordering on getting one, but my gap will be 20 months, and at 16 months my ds already looks enormous in the front (bigger) seat. That (and the price) is the only thing putting me off tbh, although there don't seem to be many alternatives out there.

Peach blossom I think just comes with the 2 seats and adaptor bits, but I'm pretty sure it's the same frame as the peach.

Well...
It's coming on Thursday!
I'll let you all know how I get on.
Thanks for all your advice

So has anyone here converted to blossom yet? Im debating between that and the baby jogger city tandem.....

Jojay · 17/04/2011 21:43

Mowgli - I got the BJ for my twins as I thought the seat looked so small on the Peach, esp the second seat.

I could imagine two hefty 18 monthers in the BJ, but not in the iCandy.

But they're not born yet, so I could be talking nonsense Grin

Good comparison between the peach blossom and the baby jogger here.

My friend nearly bought the peach blossom but bought the baby jogger and says it is far better.

Honestly, honestly, honestly get the Baby Jogger City Select UNLESS you can wait until the end of the year for the new Peach Blossom kit with the two seats the same size and removeable liners. Once that arrives in the UK then to be honest there won't be much in the two tandems. But until then the BJCS is far far superior by miles as a tandem with large seats that works practically in every day life and can take shopping etc., but the Peach wins hands down as a single and for its good looks.
