Pushchairs

M&P-kato or any M&P buggy/stroller-Do you think that M&P's strollers really cut the mustard in comparison to Mcclaren?

I have a Mcclaren with my last 2 and it was fab, but it is looking generally down at heel so was tempted into buying a Kato for £50 last week (ex display)
It looks great , fully reclinable etc
But it feels a bit clunky steering and that was around a shopping centre with just bags in it
DH liked the look of it, but he said, 'It won't last as long' I have found out since it is missing a popper for on the hood for the raincover so I can get my money back now.

do M&Ps last for 4 years or so?
Or will it just disintergrate??
I need all your M&P's buggy tales, good and bad

I am tempted take it back and spend £30 extra quid and get a mcclaren.
I know it will steer well and last for years

I had never noticed before but my maclaren's wheels fully rotate, meaning steering is very easy
I know you're right
Am off to look at Maclarens on kiddicare

Shame as Maclarens were recently reduced (the quest) at littlewoods but im sure theres bargains to be had on the older style 2008/9 versions now!

Ugh to M&P imo. Poshly dressed up crap!

Get a refund and buy a Mclaren.

M&P buggies can have flimsy parts that fall off. I've had a single M&P, a double M&P and 2 maclarens.

I have the maclarens now, the triumph in particular is extremely hard wearing - it has been through 2 kids, I've had it almost 4 years and I'm taking it on holiday later this year. M&P buggies both eBayed as crap IMO.

thanks, I think this all supports my gut-feeling
Just made DH push the Kato because he thought I was crazy taking it back, and he amazed at how difficult it was to push and how the front wheels don't rotate

I've had 2 M&P pushchairs and thought they were ok - I had a Pliko and a Luna. The main problem I found is the seat size which on both of these pushchairs was really stingy for an older child! I'm now buying another Maclaren Techno XT to replace my 5 year old one!

I had an obaby once as a temporary whilst waiting for a mac to arrive!! it was fine. Seat quite narrow tho. But otherwise features comparable to a quest. i had the vintage one nice black frame!

When I was trying it in John Lewis earlier it was a little wierd when it folded, in that you had to put the clip on yourself to hold it together (for when you lifted it)
This seemed a little inconvenient as often you need to fold your stroller one handed
And to do this clip, you had to bend down and put the clip on using both hands
Did you notice that?

i love that colour however triumph was the only mac i couldn't get on with no leg rest for little ones and the seat recline is strap at back which moves when they are sat in seat so always quite slouched. Quest better imo you can pick them up for £120ish brand new.
