Help, baby due in June 2010 and still trying to figure out which buggy and baby basket to buy.

Options are:

  1. Bugaboo Chameloen
  2. Urban Jungle
  3. Easy Walker Quatro
  4. Emaljunga Nitro City
  5. Teutonia Cosmo

Any advice based on the following critera:

  1. stability
  2. usage in Rain/snow/ forest/city
  3. length of baby basket
  4. price
  5. safety

Any thing else that I could have missed out.

Thanks and wishing everyone a happy new year.

carrycot?

Seona1973 · 31/12/2009 19:21

car seat?

EldonAve · 31/12/2009 19:41

ah I have googled and I think Seona1973 is right

you need to work out which car seat fits your car and then take it from there

Are you looking for carseat compatible pushchair? If so maxi cosi cabrio is very popular, you can use it on many prams.
Looking at your list, you need Bugaboo Cameleon/Bugaboo bee, and Mb Urban.

hello,

your list sounds nearly the same as ours did when we were looking!

i didn't like the bugaboo as i'd had one previously and the small wheels kept getting stuck with wet leaves in our local park.

the urban jungle was good but didn't like the fact that the baby would not be facing us when he was out of the carrycot. this was the same for the easywalker, although we looked at the classic model.

dp didn't like the emmaljunga as he wanted a 3 wheeler model and thought it would suit us better.

in the end we went for the teutonia spirit s3. we got the fashion carrycot with it, the all year round footmuff and the wind boot cover. we already had a maxi cosi cabrio car seat and so got the car seat adaptors put on the pram. you can choose from the tario, romer or maxi cosi car seat adaptors.

i liked the fact that the baby would still be able to face us when he came out of the carrycot and that it had an adjustable handle as i'm quite short and dp is really tall.

i have since invested in the sun parasol and the hand muff all of which are really good but do take a while to order, 6-8 weeks.

they also come with a 3 year warranty which has been good as we had some problems with the suspension on the front wheel and they sent us out a new one no problem.

i did see the other teutonia prams when we were in berlin last year and they all look just as good so i'm sure the cosmo would be the same.

we still use the pram daily now and ds is 20 months and it has been out in snow and country walks. we did have it on the beach but found the front wheel suspension was too soft and that it kept getting stuck on the dry sand.

sorry for such a ramble but i remember how hard it was when we were looking!

good luck and if you'd like to know anything else just ask!
