Is the techno worth the extra cash?
The difference seems to be the inclusion of head huggers, foot muffs, sun visors and reflective bits and a leg rest. It is also somewhat heavier.

Does anyone know the answer?

triumph is only suitable from 6 months (though some say 3 months) techno is from birth. Depends on your children's ages. I have a single techno and the steering and suspension is far far superior to the absol rubbish triumph that I had. Also the recline is just a strap on the triumph and as my dd was 18 months the strap could not hold her weight and she would slump back.

Twin triumph is sold as from birth

The twin triumph is very very heavy (ridiculously so) and doesn't cope at all well with bumpy ground.

I have one that was fine for when I looked after a friends boy a day a week and has been used by several friends but I didn't want it was my main double when I had my 3rd (20 month gap) so I got a nipper. I still use the maclaren from time to time (as the nipper doesn't fit well in my boot) but increasingly I hate it! Last time I used it in town I nearly left it behind!! I'd def pay extra for something better unless you're really not planning to use it much.

I can't really comment on the Triumph but I have a Techno. It is really sturdy and still going strong after 2 and a half years.

Personally I think it is well worth paying the extra for head huggers, footmuffs, extendable leg rests etc.

I certainly don't know where we would have been without the extendable leg rests as up until about 4 months ago our twins were still napping in the day but refused to nap anywhere but the buggy.

The footmuffs are a definite plus in the winter and you'll probably find the univeral ones you can buy will be a bit too wide. (Unfortunately as with all side by side twin buggies the actual room for each child is narrower than you would get with a single buggy)
