We have an old mcclaren xp and its jsut too small for him. Any recommendations? We go out and about alot so need something fairly decent thats going to last a year or so (then plan to pass it on to a friend)

Silvercross pop is a bit bigger than maclaren I think.

I'm surprised as my maclaren lasted until DS was 3 1/2.

I always find something with big air tyres is best for a hefty child - maclarens are a real effort with bigger kids.

Something like a second hand quinny freestyle (3 wheeler) or a mountain buggy or out&about nipper, would be ideal.

I have found my BJCM has been great for my DS (who was just 2 when we got it). Loads of room, easy to push, reclines if you still needs that, fairly small fold for a three wheeler, one handed fold, excellent hood and raincover.

the maclaren xlr is fab for older toddlers

Thanks all

lol he's not a 'hefty' child, he just looks all squashed up in there and the seat doesn't seem deep enough. It is over 5 years old now so maybe the newer ones are a bit more roomy
