How "Universal" are Universal buggy snuggles, footmuffs etc.?

Being the very last person in my close group of friends and family to have a baby, I've been very lucky to have lots of stuff donated. So I have 2 pushchairs - a M&P which is handy because the car seat clips to it for quick trips and then I also have the ever wonderful Maclaren XT. Both are black. I wanted a warm footmuff for the coming months. Am I pissing in the wind to think I can get a foot muff that will happily fit both? It'd be nice to get something a bit jazzy I think.

M&P tend to have 'winged' pushchairs so footmuffs tend to need to be bigger to allow for that so it would be better to go for a fottmuff that fits the M&P & then it should also fit the XT.

You could look at the Mamas & Papas site or could look a getting some custom made from somewhere like Snunkie - if you were to tell them you need it to fit both pushchairs they would be able to accomdate that for you
