Maclaren Techno XT - new colours next year???

I am browsing for a Maclaren Techno XT. I dont really like the dull colours of black and grey they are selling in Mothercare at the minute.
I have heard new colours are to be brought out in January 2010.

Does anybody know if the Techno XT will be sold in new colours, and what colours will they be???

The XT doesn't normally change infact they are being adventurous with the black, if you really don't like it you could see if you could get a 2nd hand Techno classic which is basically the same as the XT except it comes in different colours and designs.

They stopped making them new years ago though, I do agree the colours are so dull but if it comes down to it you could buy the black and put a Mac liner on it with a matching colour comfort pack that way you only have the grey hood.

the purple is called 'majesty' if i remember rightly- they were very secretive about colours though so maybe they are re-thinking the drab greys

nope- weren't any that they were showing off anyway! the majesty struck me as 'ooh, pretty...... is that it?' good old maclaren- stick to what they know eh!

TBH they are probably far too busy worrying about dumb arse americans chopping off their kids fingers to concentrate on new colours

I know Maclarens have a tried and tested formula, but surely grey and black aren't too dynamic!
I can't believe Maclaren have taken the blame for the finger chopping! What about all the crappy umbrella folding pushchairs out there.... some with horrible folding mechanisms??

I'm still going to buy a Maclaren XT, but I want a new NOT GREY OR BLACK one, even if its a finger chopper ;)

If they bring out a purple XT I will cry. I've already had to sell my grey one to fund the black.

Hows the black XT? I had a 2006 grey one which I loved, but sold it thinking I wouldn't have any more kids. Now Im seeking another, but the old Xts looked nicer than the new style IMHO. The black looks the nicest of the new ones! Does the fabric on the hood mark easily?

I love the black one, I had the school-sock-grey and hated it. The black is a strange material though and yes it does show up every blessed mark, so always have a nail brush and bar of vanish handy in the kitchen

Yes, the black gets awfully marked and my black XT is far more lived in from three months' use than my grey one was in a year. Still looks lovely though
