bee or maclaren xt ,which to buy?

i need a new pushchair and wondered if anyone has had experience of both of these p.chairs.
I like the sound of the bee as it is rear facing but i know maclaren is a good buy. i think they weigh about the same. any views on these and where to buy much appreciated. which would you buy?

bee is rubbish imo
really short shelf life - check out the 'up to' weight

I loved the bee, dd fitted in it easily at 2 rear facing. Very different pushchairs IMO.

i like the sound of the bee because its rear facing and light but if anyone knows of a brand similar please tell.

i like my bee, dd1 is comfy enough in it at three and a half (but obv it's for dd2 really). great that it's rear facing but it doesn't actually fold up v small imo.

i read something out to dp the other day and added 'ours would not get a year out of it!

i think the older seat design was more restrictive at the arms, and the hood isn't huge so dd1's head can be in contact with the top, but it is okay. f

rom the looks of the for sale boards people do sell them on very easily when their kids get bigger, though. to my mind they're just very expensive, souped-up maclarens but that rear-facing thing was essential for dd2 cos she was going bananas not seeing dd1 walking beside me. you're not v wrong nao, they are neat.

i am keen on bees i've not actually owned one, but they do look tiny, yes people do put older kids in but i always think they look squashed and theres not leg rest so their long legs just dangle

I have both and love them both so I'm not much help! DD is 19 months and still has oodles of room in the Bee. She now has it forward facing and I like that I can see her very easily when the hood is back so can still talk to her. It's very nippy and great for shopping. Has a good recline and dd sleeps lots in it.

The XT is also great but slightly more restricted from my point of view. It's hard to see dd, she's pretty much on her own IYSWIM. It's also much taller and the handle height is more of a problem if you're a short arse like me. But it's very comfy for dd, nice to push and again, when she's asleep in it and it's reclined with the hood pulled down she's nice and snug and out of everyone's way. It's a really good, substantial buggy and I would be very happy with it from birth to lazy child!

Meant to say if I had to choose one I think the Mac would be it, but only just!

there is a foot rest on the bee in the front facing position, just not the rear.

i want both really but dont know if i can justify it.
