Best double buggy for buses and trains Out N About or Phil and Teds?

I don't have a car and am about to have my second child. Can anyone give me advice about whether the Nipper 360 would be consistently ok on public transport?? Anyone have experiences of using these buggies regularly on public transport??? Thanks

I use the Phil & Ted's double on London buses a lot - it's fine, but because it's a bit longer than a standard buggy it does sometimes stick out into the aisle, so I've had to learn to ignore the tutting. It's easy to move it round (I just have to make sure that I back out of the bus), and it has an extremely strong brake (which can be a drawback, as you can practically dislocate your foot trying to operate it). I haven't dared take it on the tube, though, because it's so long and heavy (combined weight of P&T, baby and toddler is 35kg) - I feel really nervous about taking it on escalators by myself, and I wouldn't be able to manage going up and down stairs alone if nobody offers to help me.

i used to use my p&t on trains occasionally but wouldn't have felt comfortable using it alot on public transport. how old is DC1 could you use a sling and single pushchair for public transport or a board?

nipper has got to be better as long as you can get it through the doors and can store it in the disabled/pushchair bay (which can not always be guaranteed!) Nipper will generally go wherever a wheelchair can go.
