P&Ts vs Out n about Nipper

I suspect there may be other threads on this but I really want some advice on what double buggy would be best for a 15 month old and newborn. My friend has a Nipper for her twins but I worry it is too wide to go shopping. Also how does their size compare when folded for car? Would be interested to know whether either would fit in a non-estate!

I have had both, by far prefered my Nipper, was much easier to push one handed and I found the P and T to be a bit rickety when you bumped down steps.

I fitted both into my little hatchback (Seat Ibiza) boot. I hope to never need a double again but if I do would probably go for a NIpper again.

I had a mb double and then 2 p&t's, i sold my p&t e3 to replace it with the p&t sport which i absolutely love!
I have a tiny boot and it all fits in, i walk 3 miles a day and it is fantastic over rough ground yet turns on a sixpence for when we are in shops.
I love it love it love it

Oh and i have a 13 month gap

and does the toddler mind going underneath????

She usually goes in the main seat but dd4 (9 mo) is more than happy to go in the rear seat.

another vote for the p&t ( although i haven't used a nipper)

I used to have a single Nipper and have recently got a P&T with doubles kit due to imminent arrival of no 2. I would say that the double Nipper would be lighter and easier to push one handed, plus feels more robust (mine really did go up mountains) whereas the P&T is a lot more sturdy. I would have got double Nipper except my front door is narrow and I really didn't want the hassle of having to unload at front door!

I work as a nanny and have used both.

Nipper is good to steer and is easy to push, Seats can be reclined independantly and it is suitable from both IIRC. Bad points is it is a nightmare to go shopping/get in the front door.

P&T feels more flimsy to me easy to steer and push just not as eat as the nipper. But it is brilliant in shops. The only lie flat part is the underneath seat I think? Also I'm always paranoid about fingers getting tangled up in the wheel spokes. Brake is also terrible IMO and the toddler seat is useles if you have a heavy toddler.

i have an 18m gap and went through various side by side doubles as my then 18m old still slept in buggy so needed a lie flat seat. this would rule the p&t out as you can only have one of them fully reclined. p&t was fab when youngest reached 13m and my middle son was 2.7yr, fab for two toddlers

i've had single nipper since giving up doubles and loved it the only thing is my then 22mold grew to hate the slightly laid back seat so i had to sell it as he would scream the place down in it. preferred the more uprightness of a maclaren.

imo they are both v.good double buggies. for a newborn and a 15m old i think i would get the nipper tbh. then maybe change to p&t later on?

Thanks for your views - I won't be able to get in my front door anyway whatever I choose (and i'm used to this!) Pushchair will live in the garage. Still got the shopping vs walking dilemma! I do like to go for long walks and would like both the baby and toddler to have the opportunity to sleep at the same time. I will need to go to the shops occasionally though although I'm not a massive shopper and I tend to shop at shopping centres rather than busy high streets.
My toddler doesn't need to lie flat to sleep - just semi reclined.

love my double nipper - used it for my twins and now my 6 mth old and a twin (2.4 sit in it and the other twin sits on the hood.

Fantastic to push, no problems with shops (compared to the triple ) it does fit through my front door but I tend to wheel it straight into the garage.

Didn't have a P&T as no so good for twins which is why I have a double in the first place!!

just to add by shops I mean local corner shops etc; in a shopping centre nipper would be fine.

oooggs you can also get one of the twins to sit on the foot bit! It's fun!

yes when I use my single the dts fight over sitting on the footplate bit - very verstile
